DAET, CAMARINES NORTE – Consumer Protection Division personnel of DTI-CNPO capacitated Municipal Health Office employees from different LGUs in the province with the knowledge on the DTI Department Administrative Order (DAO) No. 16 Series of 2022. The DAO provides the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 11900 which is also known as the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act.
Coinciding with the Provincial Tobacco Control Network Meeting last 26 March 2024 which was facilitated by the Health Office of the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte, the activity aims to equip the participants with the salient features of the law in order to promote a healthy environment, protect the citizens from any potential hazards of such novel consumer products, reduce the harm caused by smoking, and ensure that the sale to minors and the illicit trade of these products, and their devices, and novel tobacco products in the country are prevented.
