DAET, CAMARINES NORTE – The DTI Camarines Norte Provincial Office (CNPO), through the Consumer Protection Division (CPD), monitored seven (7) business establishments in the municipality of Daet last 29 January 2024. This is part of the regular monitoring activities of DTI to ensure accreditation of firms offering service-repair services such as Automotive Engine Rebuilding and Engineering Machine Shop, Electronic Office-Data Processing Equipment, Electronics and/or Electrical, Mechanical-Electromechanical Office Machines, Motor Vehicle & Heavy Equipment, and Refrigeration & Air-conditioning.
According to Article 125 of RA 7394 or the Consumer Act of the Philippines, “The State shall cause the accreditation of repair and service firms or establishments and their technical personnel in order to protect the interest of the consumers availing of their services.”
